VIRTUAL KEYPAD
ipDatatel’s smartphone access provides your customers with state-of-the-art technology for the BAT and WBAT devices.
- Full Featured Virtual Keypad
- Adjust HVAC Thermostats (up to 9 ZigBee devices)
- Lighting Control (up to 25 ZigBee devices)
- Lock Control (up to 5 Kwikset ZigBee SmartCode devices)
The Virtual Keypad usually connects and authenticates within five (5) seconds. When you program your BAT, WBAT, or UBAT, and then the “ipfob” smartphone application is downloaded, a DSC, Honeywell, GE, or generic on/off Keypad face (skin) is automatically downloaded so that your customer can have the look, feel, and features of the brand of alarm system control they are accustom to.
GATEWAY

ipDatatel’s Gateway provides communication from the Internet to your customer’s optional HVAC, Lighting, and Lock controls. It also provides wireless Internet communications for the WBAT. The system’s firmware is 128 bit encrypted, and password protected. This one device is capable of managing up to nine (9) HVAC Thermostat Controls, twenty-five (25) Lighting Controls, and up to five (5) Lock Controls. The Gateway can be added to the BAT, WBAT, UBAT, and CBAT. When using the WBAT, the WBAT and Gateway should be purchased as a kit. It is highly recommended that your customer have an Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) located at the Gateway location to power the Gateway, router/switch, and modem, in the event of power failure.
COMPUTER ACCESS
ipDatatel also provides access to operate the alarm system through desktop or laptop computers and iPad. You can have access to the Virtual Keypad, Alarm History, and Programming. Programming can be (optionally) controlled by the alarm firm and/or the customer through customized levels of access. Access to change call lists, phone numbers, email address is easy for you or your customers to make. A record is retained for all data modifications.
THERMOSTAT CONTROL
ipDatatel’s Gateway utilizes ZigBee protocol to communicate to HVAC Thermostats. The Gateway can manage up to nine (9) thermostats. The alarm system can signal the thermostats to “energy savings mode” when the alarm system is in the “armed-away” mode. When the alarm system is disarmed, the thermostats will be sent a signal to go to a normal status. The “ipfob” smartphone app, in addition to the Virtual Keypad, also provides access to all HVAC devices. Thermostats can be individually controlled, and can override the automatic settings from the alarm system. This is real energy savings and convenience for your customers.
LIGHTING CONTROL
ipDatatel’s Gateway utilizes ZigBee protocol to communicate to Lighting Controls. The Gateway can manage up to twenty (25) devices. Lighting devices can be 120 volt light switches, light dimmers, and stand-alone plug in devices to operate small appliances, such as lamps or coffee makers. The “ipfob” smartphone app, in addition to the Virtual Keypad, also provides access to all Lighting Control devices.
LOCK CONTROL
ipDatatel’s Gateway utilizes ZigBee protocol to communicate to KwikSet Smartcode Lock Controls. The “ipfob” smartphone app, in addition to the Virtual Keypad, also provides access to all Lock Control devices. The Gateway can manage up to five (5) lock controls. KwikSet Smartcode locks can be operated with a standard key, digital entry code, or wireless access.
